14 things that I love most about Matt:
1. He is my sweetheart. Totally…forever. I loved him the night that I met him. I love him even more now.
2. He’s gorgeous, from his dark brown hair to his twinkly eyes. I love his 5 o’clock shadow and how sexy he looks from behind when he is getting ready for work.
3. He is the best dad a kid could want. I love that our kids adore him and are so excited to play around with him. I love how he plays “caught ya” and “robotia” and “whiskers” with our little boy. I love how he is the dream prince of our little girl’s dreams. I love how he is a good friend to our oldest daughter. I love how he helps our girls with their homework and never complains about how much I need him.
4. He never yells at me. Ever. No matter how much the things I do must bug him, he never says it out loud.
5. He lets me be the person that I am.
6. I love how he calls me “B”…short for Bear…short for Honey Bear…short for his Honey Bear. It’s like he is saying “I love you” every time he says it.
7. I love how he likes to snuggle in bed and bury his head in my neck like a puppy…sooo sweet.
8. It’s hard to say how awesome it is that we like the same things in the same way. We don’t ever disagree about what lifestyle we want to live, the way we want our house to feel, the way we want to raise our kids and how we should live our religion. It makes our home a very peaceful one. A home in which our kids never have to hear their parents fight. What a blessing that is in the world we live in today.
9. I love that he is so strong and manly. I love that I need him to use tools that I’m scared of and that he can reach things I can’t. I love how safe I feel around him. I know that he would do anything to protect me and the kids.
10. He loves the outdoors and the beautiful scenery around him. I love that he really notices when the sun is shining through the clouds in such a pretty way and likes to tell me the stories about what he saw that day while he was driving. I love that he notices the birds and animals as he is driving or while we are taking walks.
11. He is so smart! I can’t believe he can understand so many subjects so well. I still can’t believe he could take such a heavy load in school and still get such good grades. He never buckled under pressure.
12. He is the most patient and kind person I know. I love how he is soft-spoken and nice to everyone around him. People automatically feed good around him because he is so genuine. He will always be successful in business because people trust him.
13. I love how he loves fireplaces and hot chocolate and getting cozy as much as I do. I love that he invites me to his cave. It’s definitely where I most want to be.
14. I love how he inspires me to be a better person. I always wanted someone like him as a husband and I can’t really believe this person exists. I mostly love that the person that I was looking for wants me for his wife.
Thank you for the last 14 years, B….I look forward to the eternities with you. Love, Lori

Hi Matt and Lori...Vicki referred me to your blog. I just wanted to say your family looks great and Matt hasn't aged a day since high school! I'll see you at the class reunion in July. --Liz (Lane) Hibbard
What a great looking family. Thanks for sharing. I still look back with fondness the old water skiing days. All except the day we didn't secure the boat to the ball right and 'bout lost it.
